01

Norbulingka literally means "The Jewelled Park." Located in Lhasa Tibet, it served as the summer residence of the Dalai Lamas. It is a combination of palaces and surrounding grounds built by the the 7th Dalai Lama circa 1755. It served as the summer residence until the 14th Dalai Lama was exiled in 1959. Today, it is also regarded as the premier horticultural park in Lhasa. It is a beautiful spot for a stroll through an important path in history.
